Our experienced veterinary team provides comprehensive medical care, ranging from routine to advanced procedures and treatments.

Although we handle the majority of your pet’s medical and surgical needs in-house, we occasionally refer patients to veterinary specialists or specialty clinics when advanced training or equipment will be beneficial. Below you will find a list of treatments that we currently offer in-house.

Veterinary Internal Medicine

Internal medicine veterinarians are qualified to perform advanced diagnostic services and create treatment plans for illnesses related to the internal body systems of animals. Our team will help diagnose and treat conditions of the GI system, kidneys, liver, heart, nervous system, endocrine glands, bladder, and respiratory systems. We also treat cancers, blood disorders, immune deficiencies, and infectious diseases.

Our veterinarians are committed to pinpointing the source of your pet's discomfort and helping you understand how to identify signs of pain as animals instinctively hide pain from humans. Pain management is one of our primary considerations when treating a pet for any medical condition.

Veterinary cardiology is focused on the diagnosis and treatment of heart and vascular disease in pets. If your furry friend is exhibiting signs such as rapid breathing, coughing, reduced appetite, fatigue, weakness, or difficulty exercising, call our team to schedule a visit to our hospital to see if there is a cardiac-related issue going on.

Our team diagnoses and treats a variety of ophthalmological issues, including but not limited to, dry eyes, cataracts, corneal infection or trauma, and glaucoma. Endocrinology is focused on the key glands of your pet's endocrine system: the pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, pancreas, adrenals, ovaries, and testes. Releasing hormones directly into the bloodstream, they orchestrate the regulation of essential bodily functions. Early detection of disorders within your pet's endocrine system is crucial to allow proper treatment to begin.

Acupuncture, a therapeutic technique involving the insertion of fine needles into specific points on the body, is an excellent way to alleviate pain and inflammation in pets. It's particularly effective for managing common pet conditions such as arthritis, developmental bone issues, disc disease, and tendon or ligament injuries.

Physical rehabilitation is often prescribed to pets with arthritis, mobility limitations, degenerative neurological conditions and/or orthopedic surgical recovery. Depending on the condition, exercises are performed to increase range of motion, improve balance, and overall muscle strength for your furry friend. Pain reduction is an important part of rehab and is managed through a variety of modalities.

Behavioral problems can be challenging and frustrating for both pets and pet owners, so it is our goal to work diligently with you towards a solution.

Blood Transfusions

Blood transfusions (including transfusion of blood products, like plasma) is a critically important service that can mean the difference between life and death for your pet. All blood is carefully screened and administered by our experienced veterinary professionals.

Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) includes special diets and acupuncture for pets. This approach looks at your pet's health holistically, aiming to gently improve their well-being over time. These herbs can help dogs and cats with many different health issues.

Tranquilization & Sedation

Tranquilization or sedation is used to calm an animal under various conditions. The animal remains awake or may ‘sleep’ but is easily aroused when stimulated. Pet owners frequently request sedation for their animals during travel, thunderstorms, fireworks, etc. Sedation and tranquilization are not without risk and each animal should be assessed prior to dispensing these medicines.

Grief Counseling

Losing a pet can be extremely upsetting, filling us with pain, sadness, depression; even anger. Our team understands these feelings, as many of us have also lost pets of our own. Whether your loss is recent or you've been grieving for weeks or longer, we are here to help you through this transition. We can also help your children understand and cope with their feelings.
