Practice Manager

Kelley Banks

Kelley has worked with Beaches Animal Clinic for 17 years. She started as a veterinary technician and was promoted to practice manager in February 2001. She has always had a deep passion and understanding of animals since she was a very young child, and can’t imagine doing anything else. She says, “I intend to work with animals in some capacity for the rest of my life.” She currently lives with three cats, two birds, and a recently released juvenile squirrel that doesn’t want to leave her backyard.  In her spare time she likes to spend time with her pets, organic gardening and reading.

Kristie joined our team in 2005. She was promoted to Front Desk Supervisor in June of 2007. She has eight years of experience in this field and can’t imagine working in an environment not surrounded by animals. She enjoys knowing that she makes a difference in the lives of our patients. She has 2 dogs; Nala a 3-year-old bulldog mix, and Pebbles a 2-½ year old pit bull mix and Meka, a kitty.  In her spare time, she enjoys sports, watching movies, and spending time with her friends. She is always up for learning new things, which makes her a great asset to our team.

She first became interested in veterinary medicine after she lost her first poodle after an unfortunate incident only after having him 3 months. Four months later, she started working in a clinic and was a technician for five years before joining our team. She didn't want to feel helpless when it came to her "babies" ever again. Maegan likes helping clients and feels like she ican be a voice for them. She wants to make sure each of our patients feel the same love and devotion she gives her animals everyday. She has two toy poodles, PJ and Petey, a rottie/lab mix named Baby, a red nosed pit bull named Brandy and five cats, Lulu, Sissy, Kitty, Seven, and Littlefoot. Midnight

Midnight

Midnight is our other resident cat who spends most of the day in treatment supervising our hospitalized and surgery patients. While she usually spends the day lying in her bed on Frances' desk, she will occasionally get down to stretch her legs and check on things in the back. When she's ready to get back on her bed, she demands to be picked up instead of jumping up herself. She blames it on her diabetes, but she knows she really has us wrapped around her little paw. Update: Midnight has found a permanent home with Frances, but occasionally visits to keep everyone in line.

Sox

Sox

Sox is one of our resident clinic cats. He wanders around and makes sure that everyone is working hard. He is a staunch defender of cats, and if he hears that one is upset, he gets very upset and wants to protect them. He is incredibly loving and likes to spend time up in our reception area when it's not busy. Otherwise he likes to spend time in the sun while lazing around in Kelley's office. Although, he for the most part loves cats, he has on occasion warmed up to a few dogs and will even give them a chin rub. We love Sox, but ultimately realize that he would be much happier in a home enviornment so if you are interested in adopting Sox, give us a call.

Update: We are pleased to say that Sox has found his forever home. We will miss him terribly but are extremely happy that he has free roam of his own house with his feline and canine friend.  Of course, Sox is still taking question from everyone, so if you are stumped over general dog or cat question, he will gladly answer. Just email him at asksox@beachesanimalclinic.com If you are interested in adopting a dog or a cat, please visit our adoptables section of the website.
